Job Description: The Senior Systems Analyst for our native mobile development team conducts process analysis, needs assessment, and presents technical solution analysis to align information technology solutions with business initiatives in a fast paced agile environment. Our Systems Analyst work throughout the entire SDLC, including but not limited to user story creation, scrum ceremonies, defect remediation, and release management. Branded native mobile card app that provides core services (account balance, transaction history, pay bill, rewards, mobile virtual card, etc.). Our native mobile app can either be standalone or integrated into a client partner’s app. Various apps are currently live and available for install through the app store and google play with new clients being added or integrated on an ongoing basis. Mobile continues to advance at an unprecedented pace and we are looking for the right individual to evolve our mobile technology practices, ensuring we continue to exceed customer expectations as the channel grows. We have a unique business model related to mobile as we are not consumer facing. We integrate our software with our brand partners to result in higher engagement and loyalty with our brand partners and our end customers which drives value in the form of new customers and increased card usage.

Overview: Embedded in Agile Dev Team (approx. 14 members).  SA responsible for early engagement through delivery.  Collaborate with business, high level tech flows, user stories, data mapping, working with QA on acceptance criteria, etc. SA should be analytical, self-motivated, mesh well with the group and welcome lots of collaboration (open environment-people coming up to ask questions). Deeper from a technical perspective than a typical BA – pulling apart business requirements and getting into the technical requirements. Do what works and what the team understands (processes in place but at the end of the day you need to do what is effective with your team). Understand the idea of algorithms, parse out requirements while understanding the technical features of an epic/project, diversity of experience. Being able to analyze and open to learn about new technology.

Examples of Duties

Identify and document effective technology solutions that address medium to large complex issues.

Partner with internal and external customers to document user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify systems

Create and prepare User stories

Analyze requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems

Coordinates Release management activities

Coordinates and performs Defect Triage

Acts as the liaison /coordinator between IT developers and end users for internal and external team projects; facilitates front line questions from other teams and departments

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical training and experience

5+ years of experience in a systems analyst position

Ability to elicit business requirements

Ability to elicit technical specifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Detailed knowledge of scrum framework

Ability to articulate requirements, test and analyze data for solutions

Ability to organize multiple projects for self and others, and to react to shifting priorities without compromising the projects

In-depth knowledge of technology system interfaces, data integration, networks and operating systems.

Aptitude for detail and accuracy

Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical groups, both internal and external

Understands the specifics of how the applications are used within the organization

Ability to participate on multi-disciplinary work teams to achieve successful execution of complex implementation projects

Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Analytical thinking and problem solving

Expert at managing cross-functional projects

Experience and subject matter expertise of credit card or financial services industry (recommended, but not required)
