Job Description: You will be working within the I.T. and business community to ensure that delivered I.T. systems meet the documented business requirements of the user community. You will prioritize and execute daily I.T. Quality Assurance testing using test cases documented in the HP Application Life-cycle Management (ALM) application. You will be responsible for tracking and resolving defects identified during testing and be diligent in continuing test execution progress even when multiple defects block planned test efforts to ensure the testing process completes in time for the scheduled implementation. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, be able to multi-task across several issues simultaneously, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with and interact with technical and non-technical resources alike.


  • Experience executing I.T. application testing using the test management tool (HP ALM)
  • Experience working in Agile methodology and using task management tools like JIRA
  • Experience testing front end and backend requirements of an applications is mandatory
  • Strong SQL skills is desired
  • Experience in retail industry is a plus.
  • Experience in automation, CI/CD is a plus


  • Understand the requirements and come up with test scenarios and detailed test cases
  • Be able to execute detailed tests using a test management tool (preferably HP ALM)
  • Partner with core team to keep test execution on track with the project schedule and implementation deadline
  • Ensure adherence to I.T. Solution Delivery Methodology, including the use of appropriate processes, tools, and reporting
  • Track and communicate the progress of all phases of testing on a daily basis to the core team
  • Identify, mitigate, communicate out, and escalate defects, issues, and risks to the core team
  • As needed, participate/conduct daily defect triage/ test-status calls


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, MIS/CIS, Engineering, or related field is required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in QA is mandatory. Hands-on testing experience in retail industry is a plus
  • Ability to manage test execution workload with minimal oversight
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; capable of multi-tasking across several projects or issues
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to breakdown and effectively communicate complex business and technical processes, problems, and issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interaction and collaboration with a project team consisting of both business and I.T. associates
  • Personal Attributes: Confidence, self-starter, strong work ethic, highly motivated, sense of humor, a Winning ‘Will-Do’ attitude, team oriented
  • Ability to adapt and modify detailed test scripts, as needed, based on project change requests and/or new project requirement details
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills to facilitate communications with highly experienced business and I.T. associates is a plus
